PS3 Update will drop Linux capability



The PS3 Firmware 3.21 Update, due for release April 1, 2010, will remove the “Install Other OS” functionality from all existing PS3 systems—even ones predating the current PS3 Slim, more details here

Commodore making a comeback!?



Commodore USA are producing a new computer much in the style of the old C64 or Amiga computers where everything is self-contained under the keyboard.

From the tech' spec' it seems like a very capable machine.
The store officially launches June 1st; no prices have been announced so far.

To create a quick .ico file (windows icon format), use this excellent free online tool here: http://converticon.com/

The utility supports GIF, PNG, JPEG and other file types.
Once you click 'Get Started' don't forget to choose your filetype.

It exports to various default sizes.

Online ZX Spectrum Emulator



Just discovered this excellent online ZX Spectrum Emulator: http://zxspectrum.net

Complete with plenty of games to play including Manic Miner! (you can find it under 1983).
The emulator is Java-based which you should have installed but if not you can get it here
